Summer 2014

At long last we have blue skies above us and a gentle breeze, after all the grey skies and heavy showers, so dark and dismal, this is a very welcome interlude, long may it continue.

May  12th -  Group  Film project.  Members were split into groups for  the evening  and  preliminary  plans  were  made  for each group to make a short film to be shown on September 15th.











Competitions

Since the last Newsletter we have had six competitions…

17th February -  Film set to recorded music or Poem for the Weston Trophy was won by Ken White with The Indians Faith.

3rd March - The Holiday /Travelogue competition for the Butwell Trophy was won by Ken White with Mountain Holiday.

7th April  -  Open Competition for the Walwin Trophy  was won by Annie Blick with The Severn Bore.

2nd June - Impact,   Animation  and  Documentary Competitions.

There were no entries for the Impact Competition.

The Animation Competition for the Richardson Trophy was won by Chris Martin with B.A.F.F.

The Documentary for the Cresswell Trophy was won by John Greene with Cruising round the Islands.




Michael Clemens is pictured with a press release of the Railway Show which boosted Club Funds by £263.26p and is still proving a popular evening for railway enthusiasts,

  

The Inter Club Competition was hosted by our Club this Year and the occasion went very smoothly.  The winner of the Toleman Trophy was Tewkesbury Y.M.C.A with Santa Special.

The trophy for best use of Sound was won by Ken White (representing the Cheltenham Club) with Mountain Holiday.

Social  Evening.   On June 16th club members met at Clare's house taking a picnic to eat in their lovely garden. The weather was good and the evening was enjoyed by all attending    Many thanks to John and Clare for their hospitality.

 

Video  Roadshows  - Not so many bookings as in previous years but hopefully this will pick up as these shows are a valuable source of income for the Club Funds.
